UMH Systems GmbH, the company behind United Manufacturing Hub, has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for the development and distribution of its Industrial Data Management Platform. The certification follows an independent audit and confirms that UMH's information security management system meets internationally recognized standards for protecting customer data and managing security risk.
UMH provides industrial data infrastructure that connects shop-floor equipment to enterprise systems, structuring production data into a Unified Namespace for analytics and AI applications.
For manufacturers, ISO 27001 certification removes a common challenge and provides third-party verification of security controls.
Additionally, it requires annual surveillance audits and recertification every three years, ensuring that security practices remain effective.
"Manufacturing is becoming more connected every year. That's valuable, but it also makes factories more vulnerable. The threat isn't just data theft. It's connecting systems that were never designed to be connected. We built UMH to unlock industrial data, but doing that responsibly means taking security as seriously as connectivity. ISO 27001 certification proves we do." - Alexander Krüger, CEO of United Manufacturing Hub.
